How do free messages work?
Every account gets 10 free messages per day, across chats and stories. Your count resets automatically at midnight, your device's local time — no need to do anything. Subscribing to premium removes the daily cap entirely.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancellation happens in your store account settings, not inside the App — we can't cancel it for you on our end.
On iPhone/iPad: open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → select InCharacter → Cancel Subscription.
On Android: open the Google Play app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select InCharacter → Cancel subscription.
Cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current billing period — you'll keep access until it ends. Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their own policies, not by us directly.
How does community moderation work?
Every story published to the community first goes through an automated content check that screens for things like explicit sexual content, hate speech, graphic violence, and self-harm promotion. That catches obvious violations before a story ever goes live. From there, moderation is reactive — if other users report a story, we review it, and repeatedly-reported or clearly rule-breaking content gets taken down and its author's account can be restricted. You can report anything you see using the button above or from inside the App.
